Account Data

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and an encrypted password (managed by Firebase Authentication). We also store when your account was created and your last activity time.

Trip Data

We store the trip information you enter, including destinations, dates, flights, hotels, activities, notes, and AI-generated itineraries. This data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore and is associated with your user account.

Usage Data

We collect anonymous usage data including page visits (with a random visitor ID stored in your browser's localStorage), feature usage events, and AI usage metrics. This helps us improve the Service.

Device Information

We may collect your browser type, operating system, and platform (web or Android) for analytics and to optimize your experience.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Provide the Service: Store and display your trip plans
  • AI Features: Send trip context to Google Gemini AI to generate itineraries and recommendations (no personal data like email or password is sent)
  • Payments: Process token purchases via Stripe (we do not store your payment card details)
  • Improve the Service: Analyze usage patterns to improve features
  • Communication: Send verification emails and important account updates

We use browser localStorage to store: your authentication session, a random visitor ID for analytics, UI preferences (e.g. guided tour completion, cookie consent), and temporary app state. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated trip data is permanently deleted from our systems. Anonymous usage data (page visits) may be retained for analytics purposes.
